The pagodas and Wolgan are a very special and fragile place. Cared for and respected for Millenia by First Nations. It is even clear to the uninformed eye that this place holds special meaning. You can feel it if you take the time to stop, breath deeply, and listen. A very carefully crafted and executed management plan needs to be part of the establishment with significant consequences if breached. Local Mingaan Wiradjuri engagement as knowledge-holders is critical. #WiradjuriCountry #yindyamarra
Funny when I brought it up last year in a Native Title meeting as the Chair the current new Chair yelled me down and said all our workers would walk away from us (Warrabinga) so now I will leave it up to Mingaan Wiradjuri Aboriginal Corporation and others to build on it and find the workers. I also find incredible that the council makes the statement that Lithgow needs tourism to survive but are allowing a Chinese company destroy a wonderful tourist destination like Lake Lyell. You can't have it both ways.
It's disgusting. A disgrace. Appalling.
The concept of a national park is destroyed. Goodbye to the last of our wilderness
